The NAO® Suite,
end to end.

The NAO® Suite makes indoor location simple, reliable and scalable - one connected family of products that takes you from a BLE signal all the way to a decision, with a seamless indoor / outdoor experience.

What is the NAO® Suite?

The NAO® Suite is Pole Star's end-to-end indoor location and RTLS platform: infrastructure that captures signals, positioning engines that compute location, and a platform & applications that supervise, analyze and act on it - built on Bluetooth Low Energy and multi-sensor data fusion.

How the NAO® Suite works

From a signal to a decision, in four layers

Each family of the suite handles one job in the chain - and they're designed to work together, on the network you already have, in the cloud or on-premise.

FAQ

The NAO® Suite, answered

What is the NAO® Suite?
The NAO® Suite is Pole Star's end-to-end indoor location and RTLS platform. It combines BLE infrastructure that captures signals, positioning engines that compute location, and a platform with software applications that supervise, analyze and act on real-time location data - built on Bluetooth Low Energy and multi-sensor data fusion for a seamless indoor/outdoor experience.
What are the main components?
The suite is organized into three complementary families: Infrastructure (NAO® BlueSpot and NAO® BlueListener), Positioning Engines (NAO® Mobile SDK and NAO® Track), and Platform & Software Applications, including NAO® Cloud, NAO® Server, NAO® Viewer, NAO® Flow and NAO® Counting.
How do the parts work together?
The workflow follows four steps: capture → compute → orchestrate → use. NAO® BlueSpot and NAO® BlueListener capture BLE signals, the positioning engines compute real-time locations, the platform distributes and exposes location data through standard interfaces, and the software applications transform it into maps, analytics, occupancy information and operational insights.
Does the NAO® Suite require dedicated infrastructure?
The NAO® Suite is designed to build on your existing BLE-enabled infrastructure rather than replace it. Existing enterprise Wi-Fi networks - including Cisco Spaces, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Extreme Networks - can be reused, while NAO® BlueSpot and NAO® BlueListener provide the BLE infrastructure required by the RTLS positioning engine.
Can it be deployed in the cloud or on-premise?
Yes. The platform is available as NAO® Cloud (SaaS), NAO® Server (on-premise), or as a hybrid deployment, allowing organizations to choose the architecture that best fits their operational and regulatory requirements.
What technology is it based on?
The NAO® Suite is primarily based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), enriched through multi-sensor data fusion combining technologies such as Wi-Fi, GNSS and motion sensors, depending on the positioning engine and deployment.
Can I start small and scale later?
Yes. The NAO® Suite is modular. Organizations can start with a single site or use case and progressively expand to large multi-site RTLS deployments by adding products and capabilities as operational needs evolve.
