Few months ago Pole Star announced partnership with Connexient to serve the hospital market, Pole Star is growing in US market thanks to its new collaboration with Sherpa, a provider of mobile solution specialized in event field. NAO Campus is embedded in Sherpa’s app to guide visitors through 516,000 sq.feet exhibition space of Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). The indoor location system relies on Bluetooth low energy beacon transmitters, 270 of which will be installed throughout the BCEC.
Thanks to turn-by-turn navigation, visitors easily find their way to exhibitor’s booths or conference rooms. Once the navigation’s mobile app has been downloaded, indoor location solution works and locate visitors automatically. After Fira Barcelona with the Mobile World Congress, BCEC is the second convention center to deploy permanent indoor location solution that will be reuse for different shows in 2015. Pole Star is proud to be the first company selected to provide indoor location solution for event industry: SIAE or NHS in Las Vegas.
