Pole Star, the pioneer and world leader of indoor location solutions, is proud to announce that its NAO Campus solution was recently deployed to provide real-time indoor location services to the visitors of the National Hardware Show (NHS) hosted at the Las Vegas Convention Center (NV), May 6-8, 2014. This annual event is organized by Reed Exhibitions – The World’s Leading Events Organizer.
Pole Star’s Indoor geolocation service was embedded in Sherpa’s ActivTouch mobile applications (iOS and Android). These services helped visitors quickly find their way, presented them with location-based recommendations, locate selected point of interest and navigate efficiently inside the Las Vegas Convention Center for the first time in the US.
The service has been a great success. It has been well received by visitors and has dramatically contributed to improve the visitor and user experience said Randy Field Vice President, Customer Success Group & Operations Technology at Reed Exhibitions
NAO Campus® uses a combination of different wireless technologies to determine a visitor’s exact location, including Wi-Fi signals, Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0 beacons, GPS (for seamless indoor/outdoor transitions), in addition to the smartphone’s movement sensors.
The services will also be used at JCK Las Vegas at the end of May, at Mandalay Bay.
