NAO Counting
Real-time zone-based counting
NAO® Counting is an optional capability of the NAO® Suite that enables real-time counting of tracked objects—both BLE tags and smartphones—within predefined zones (geofences). Each zone configured in NAO® Cloud or NAO® Server can be used to dynamically count how many objects are present at any given time.
This provides immediate visibility on occupancy levels across sites, floors or operational areas, without requiring additional infrastructure.
Access to counting data
Counting data is made available in real time through secure MQTT APIs, allowing integration with third-party systems such as operational dashboards, safety platforms or analytics tools. The same data can be visualized directly in NAO® Viewer, where zone-level counts are displayed within the supervision interface.
For web-based applications, counting information can also be embedded using the NAO® JS SDK, ensuring consistent data access across all NAO® interfaces.
Activation and platform integration
NAO® Counting is activated on demand and operates natively within the NAO® platform. Counting data is securely distributed via authenticated interfaces and synchronized across the provided web interfaces.
This tight integration ensures reliability, consistency and ease of deployment, allowing organizations to extend their indoor location services with real-time occupancy insights whenever required.
