Features and integration
The NAO® BlueSpot V5 is a programmable BLE beacon capable of transmitting different frame formats: iBeacon™, Eddystone™, NAO® proprietary frame, or Eddystone-TLM. With its adjustable transmission power and configurable range of up to 100 meters, it can be adapted to any scenario: indoor positioning, traffic counting, mobile navigation, or asset tracking.
The device connects directly to the NAO® Track RTLS engine via BLE access points or NAO® BlueListener gateways, which capture and relay signals to the NAO® Cloud. Integration is instantaneous in Cisco Spaces, Aruba, Extreme Networks, or Fortinet environments, enabling rapid deployment on existing Wi-Fi networks.
The beacon can also carry environmental sensors (temperature, battery, movement) and transmit telemetry data to enrich analyses via NAO® Analytics. Configuration and maintenance are easily performed remotely using NAO® Logger or via a BLE provisioning mobile application.

The NAO® BlueSpot V5 is designed to offer exceptional battery life, up to 10 years of operation depending on the emission profile. Its robust construction (IP65) makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor use, even in demanding industrial or logistics environments.
All BLE communications are encrypted according to Bluetooth 5.2 security protocols and are GDPR-compliant when used with the NAO® Cloud. Firmware updates are performed Over-The-Air (OTA), ensuring the longevity and security of the infrastructure without the need for on-site intervention.
